Rashidun Caliphate

The Rashidun Caliphate, also known as the Rashidun Khulafaur Caliphate, was the first Islamic caliphate, established after the death of the Prophet Muhammad in 632 CE. The caliphate lasted from 632 CE to 661 CE and was led by the first four caliphs, who are known as the Rashidun, or "rightly guided" caliphs. The Rashidun Caliphs were Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, and they are highly respected figures in Islamic history. They were chosen to lead the Muslim community, or ummah, after the Prophet Muhammad's death, and they worked to expand the Islamic empire, establish a system of governance, and promote justice and equality. During the Rashidun Caliphate, the Islamic empire expanded rapidly, with military campaigns into Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and Persia. The caliphs also oversaw the compilation of the Quran, the establishment of a system of zakat, or charitable giving, and the development of Islamic jurisprudence, or fiqh.
